The long-awaited LIRR station at Grand Central has finally opened. But getting to this new, subterranean station means taking a trip 15 stories below ground on a variety of escalators. The largest one spans 182 feet diagonally —between the station’s mezzanine and concourse. PIX11 decided to see how long it takes to ride this escalator, now the largest one in the entire MTA system.
